I'm highly confident that laptops can be sold by the company for $ 30 or more, and I would expect that if VLNC or any other can achieve substantially in excess of 300 recharges at > 80% capacity, then the batteries will sell in excess of $ 9 and perhaps as much as $ 10.

Just look at the prices of NiCad and NiMH as well as laptop Li ion batteries currently available in the replacement market.

David: I'm new to Valence but not new to Red Chip. I have a very high opinion of the newsletter. FWIW, Red Chip's revenue is 100% subscriber-generated. They take no consideration from the companies that they follow, and they do not say glowing things about every company they follow.

Having said that, and recognizing that the above posts captured Red Chip's article quite accurately, I should point out that they refer to Valence as a speculative buy. Of course, if it weren't speculative, it wouldn't have the potential upside.
