Deep deficit spending could if it continues.

Not sure what retiring Boomers has to do with it.

Could we be in for a bout of hyperinflation? Well, that is always in the cards. Is it inevitable? No. If you are so concerned over inflation, you should have gotten that way when we were running high deficits when the economy was expanding instead of defending by adopting Cheney's viewpoint that they don't matter.
