David:

---->, how about an HP 9845 desktop machine? I remember the first 3 dimension bubble sort I wrote on that baby -

My next door neighbor (business downtown) was in the office machine business. He didn't carry HP, and me being VERY cheap along with being mentally slow, didn't get into the HP line. heh heh. So from the late 50s on, I was limited to his product line.
I hate to get into the "do you remember" catagory (Lisa will say---Hell, that's all you can do old man, is remember-----) but I was blessed with exposure to a FULL array of different products at low or no cost. He would just order something for us to play with knowing that he could peddle it quickly if we didn't like it. I do remember the TI 99 costing a bunch and we liked it so much that he sold every bank in Paris one or two.
Before everyone reading this snickers and thinks---so what, you probably have two banks in Paris, the sales for that one model made him enough that we had a apartment at Hot Springs for the racing season for that season free of cost.

---->It seems to me like we had a way of storing the results and restarting them, but I might be wrong on that. You know, it's my memory thing, again.

That might be what he is doing and he sees no need to explain it to ol dummy here......ggg

----->Surely some Nets are better learners than others, right?

Since my programmer bud and I have gone onto a mainframe I leave all the computer decisions up to him.......ggggg
