Malvo, who was 17 when carrying out the attacks, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing Linda Franklin, a 47-year-old FBI analyst who was shot as she and her husband loaded supplies at a Home Depot in Falls Church, Va.

I believe the Supreme Court just heard argument in a case that contends that a sentence of life without possibility of parole for a minor violates the "cruel and unusual punishment" prohibition of the Constitution. From what I heard about the argument, Sonya Sotomayor appears sympathetic to the argument.

I hate to think there would be a possibility that Malvo could end up being resentenced if the Court goes along with the arguments it just heard (IMO, I don't think the Court will decide in favor of the argument).
