OFF SUBJECT ... Mason... Thanks for the explanation. I am 95% a long term investor , so these finer points don't have a lot to do with me, except of course to help me get a bit better price on the day of the sale or buy. One might argue that this is another "chicken or the egg" concept. Does the sale put negative pressure on the stock, or does the stock action induce the sale? Your baseball analogy is just another way of expressing urgency in the sale. You will see scalpers price fall sharply just before the game starts, and become even cheaper later when they are just trying to get any return on their investment. In fact, the more I think about the analogy, the more I like it as an example of market behavior during times of unusual volitility. Unlike the scalper, who must sell, potential buyers can always go back home and watch TV. I still think "more buyers than sellers" is an unfortunate terminology, since neophytes don't know it's just a figure of speech and really not true... I think I will leave daytrading to others. My moto is that even the best of us only have (at most) 2 or 3 few great ideas a year, so I'm going to use mine for big long term capital gains. I have watched quote streams ( I've been an active investor for 30 years) You don't need TA to tell which way prices are going at the moment, but it's not so easy to tell how long the trend will continue. Day trader on the floor with access to non delayed quote streams have a huge advantage over most SI players using delayed quotes and depending on telephone contact.I like to play games where the odds are on my side. Good luck in your trading
