I read the prospectus a few weeks ago with the same thought. Indeed, most (80% or 90%) of their money must actually buy the shares...not a synthetic tracking stock.

(Confirm for yourself before investing. My advice may be worth exactly what you paid for it <g>)

Well, in the prospectus, I think, they said they would have 80% of the fund's money in actual stocks. And there are not any options available for most of these small-cap gold miners. Maybe you could find a counterparty crazy enough to enter into some hedging arrangement. That WOULD be a problem because the counterparties could easily be bankrupted.
