Actually, spoken like a true REALIST..

I guess that's the best response you could muster to my post..

There's just no denying that fact that totalitarian ideologies, secular or religious, rely upon physical violence to dominate opponents.

They have no use for referendums, elections, or holding any accountability to the people they rule, except as a ruse to control the masses.

And the religious militants are far worse because their ideology has no use for negotiations, compromise, or peace treaties. Their belief that their deity is backing their agenda forbids such compromise except as as strategic form of duplicity against the "infidels".

Thus, military force is the only manner in which to meet this threat and establish the social order necessary to secure the democratic process.

It requires a professional military, sworn to protect the nation's constitutional electoral process, not the current leadership.

If this is your definition of "patriotism", then so be it.

As for Palin, I could care less.
