I remember when my oldest was around 1 1/2 and he just wasn't interested in eating. My FIL told us about Kanana Banana and told us to feed him that until he got sick of it and decided to eat other foods. I think that's all he had for a month. By that time he'd out grown what ever it was that he was going through. I know I wish I'd known then what I know now about my own nutrition. I would have consumed more dairy to build up my bones. From what I understand, we only get that chance till we're about 20. After than calcium intake is reduced dramatically.

And that's pretty much how I'd handle it too. No sugar, pastries, cakes, donuts, cookies, pies, candy, pop, chips, dips etc......as much as I could control that aspect of her life. I'd also find out if her school has someone to teach her about nutrition........maybe the school nurse or a heath teacher....... just so she fully understands the consequences of her actions. If not, I'd do it myself, but sometimes hearing that stuff from a parent makes it worse.
