Upped my Ultrapetrol (Bahamas) Ltd. (ULTR) by 25% buying lower cost shares after waiting 31 days from my earlier sell. I have a few higher priced shares that I will harvest later this year but am finally positive on the bulk of the shares. The stock could rebound back to the $9.00-$10.00 level once the company post a few positive back to back quarters. I believe the drought issue is behind them and their new Petroleo Brasileiro (PBR) offshore supply contracts should start to kick in early this year.

The stock is cheap on a price to book basis at 39% of BV. The stock was in the $20's in 2007 and as high as $15.00 in 2008.

P.S. Looking to do the same with what's left of my DRY's shares. All of these shipping companies are in the process of forming a bottom. Here is my current basket of shipping stocks.

RE: Ultrapetrol (Bahamas) Limited (NasdaqGS: ULTR)

Finally some good news for ULTR. This should provide them some pricing power as they control both the storage and inland transportation infrastructure in Brazil.

From the article"...The bumper crop may push up domestic freight costs for Cargill and other producers in Brazil as the country lacks enough transportation and storage infrastructure, Glaser said.

“We will face a logistical blackout in the next few months,” he said. ..."

All good for Ultra's River segment which owns and operates river barges and pushboats through the Hidrovia Region of South America.
