Obama's misery index will be about as bad as Carter's. By the next election, the misery index will be a topic again.


Carter was the person who made it a political term. In 2012 I suspect the phrase "Change We Can Believe In". will be as important in the defeat of Obama as Carter's misery index was in 1980.
