The Stupak measure will most likely disappear in conference. Democrats wil win the right to claim "I voted for it before I voted against it"

The blog post I posted was about the bill without the amendment. It was a response to a New York Times editorial against the amendment and calling for its defeat. If it had been defeated (or if it gets removed later on) then you could have federal support for abortion from the house bill.
