Have you heard of the executive veto? Bush made very clear what he would and would not veto. To override that veto, 60 votes are required in the Senate. You do the math....Reid didn't have the votes. In other words, you're whistling dixie. I was wondering if you were going to address the larger issue (as in the longer bars on the graph) or try to go on a tangent... I see......we're back to this because you forgot about the presidential veto. As for the increased size of the deficit and assuming you want to have an intelligent/non winger conversation, you tell me why the the budget deficits are so large.
