It started out as a flight to safety when many people thought the global economy was collapsing. Some of it is still that.....people are not oonvinced the recovery is for real. There are other reasons given.......its mostly speculation.....but buying because people are worried about inflation is far from the only reason given.....especially now when the specter of deflation still threatens.
