NOBODY is worried about deflation at this point. Hell, the question is how to keep inflation under control without killing any recovery that MIGHT be starting to form.


You aren't worried about deflation but there are people who are a little smarter than you are who are. We are no where near an inflationary cycle.

When people buy gold there is one reason for it -- as a hedge against inflation.

That's one reason....there are others.

Have you looked at the dollar lately?

Yeah, so what? Its good for American businesses. It makes our products cheaper.

Maybe you're too young to know how bad inflation is. I saw what it did to my dad's business in the early 70s and saw it consume my own living in the late 80s. There is very little, economically speaking, that is worse than inflation (unemployeds at least have the government dole; victims of inflation have NOTHING).

This was not your daddy's recession. Think the great depression for your model; not your daddy's recession.
