We are probably experiencing the worst of swine flu right now. There is no resistance to the swine flu in most of the population, but the tide will turn as more people get the vaccine. Some areas like New York City that had big swine flu outbreaks last spring are reporting far fewer cases this fall because resistance has built up in the population due to exposure to the swine flu in the spring.

Perhaps a better vaccine shot to get is the pneumonia vaccine, since most flu deaths are from secondary infections, especially pneumonia. Stay safe. Get the flu vaccine, or if you don't want to, then go see a doctor as soon as the flu symptons hit.
