How've you been?

Been well. Had to cancel, however, a Boston trip in early October for various reasons to do with my wife's work. She thought she would be free; we made hotel reservations, etc.; but then last minute faculty/administration conflicts over curriculum meant she couldn't leave. Even for a couple of days.

Just got back from a long weekend in Austin (Wednesday around to Sunday) with my two brothers, their families, and a larger family reunion on Saturday in Salado. The middle brother's wife died last March so we had much to discuss. And, as a macro economist, somewhat Keynesian, with friendships throughout the profession, it's always good to catch up on what's happening with Summers, Krugman, Feldstein, Mankiw, the Chicago crew, etc.

I'm still retired, much involved in local community activities including local Jersey politics; and my wife is still among the worker bees. But she simply loves it too much to quit.
