FWIW, Lance added to the "no worries" chorus:

The junior and intermediate basket was down across the board and spanked for 4 percent. NGD was the biggest loser and was whacked for 9 percent, which was no doubt made worse by more rumor mongering by the environmental group that has been trying to get NGD’s Cerro San Pedro mine shut down since the first day that the project broke ground back when Metallica was the operator.

This group of environmental nuts almost seem to be like zombies. They never go away. In any event, contrary to the rumors that this group is spreading (which no doubt spooked some people today and added to the dollar-related selling), NGD continues to operate the mine and said just a week ago that all of its permits are in order when it originally addressed the rumors in a press release.

"Frankly I expected the next big theft to come from the Russkies at Kupol. You just KNOW their gonna steal that some day."

1. Gotta debug operations first.

2. Our friends across the Bering Strait usually appropriate when times are good there, not when things are in the crapper. This is a little different because the price of gold is up but the economy is in the crapper. Wonder when we'll see the "environemntal issues at the Kupol mine" press release.
