I was wondering if you heard that piece on Jonestown today -- absolutely gripping radio which carried me back to what it was like to listen in horror while it was going on.

Many years ago I had to infiltrate a pseudo-cult to get an ex-girlfriend out of it. It was nothing as bad as Jonestown, but my intuition was confirmed when it turned out the charismatic leader leading a youth facility for troubled kids was screwing every woman in the camp, including the wives of his subordinates and some of the teenage girls. Power corrupts...

Yes, Otto can make a valid point, I was merely addressing today's agreement which is in fact an avoidance of screwing over Coomigasp who were previously robbed of PGM payments and argues in favour of CSI as an honourable partner.
And yes I have concerns about CSI but one cannot argue with their execution to date which is why I am betting there is more to come and the rise is not over. However, I cannot identify the shortcomings other than horrendous assay turnarounds. So in short,I do think it is a "managed" play and I don't think the play has seen the final act.

The property can be mined as is, but additional land would be a huge bonus. CSI is not nothing because CVRD retain mineral rights on their border.

As for Columbia, it may have many flaws and baggage but has undeniably become vastly less dangerous in recent years, both on the streets and in armed political factions. I am hardly in favour of U.S. Imperialism and do not excuse the horrific interference in the region but Chavez's recent exhortations regarding imminent invasion of Venezuela via Columbia I take to be more his political rhetoric than fact. It was that allegation being dragged out here as a reason to be concerned about Columbian investments that I called out.

Cheers,
Ogi

Marcos, I know you have more insight on things SA than many, thought a peek at Otto and CSI may be a worthwhile exercise on
how accuracy may be less important than "being a blogger" something akin to what you said earlier regarding OTTO.

June of 08:
<<The PR includes some of the best drill results seen since the Aurelian FDN property exploded on the world, and makes Colossus a simply mouthwatering prospect. There is a lot to love about the news, and a full read is recommended, but highlights include (from the PR):>>>

<<<So I therefore officially want to be counted as one of the people who was stupid, doubting, cynical and dead wrong about ignoring Colossus. This is now one hot junior. Congrats to those who saw the light before this catchup-playing Otto.>>

Now here is his list of CSI pieces on THE INKA Blog and I can't fathom the change except that Patrick Anderson joined CSI in Sept 08 and immediately thereafter the venom started from OTTO on CSI: His characterization of today's revised JV agreement is pure unfounded intentionally negative SPIN IMO. You can follow it back.
incakolanews.blogspot.com minerals

eg:

<<AUG 11 2008:Colossus (CSI.to) put out an interesting PR this morning, saying it's agreed to pay the government of Brazil U$4.2m for the 15% of profit rights it didn't own. This is the kind of news that explains why Colossus hasn't been so very vociferous recently, I'd wager. If the comapny has been in the dealroom with Brazil, it certainly wouldn't have been the best moment the shut about great drilling results. I'm not in any hurry and still looking for $2.20 on this stock to enter, but my bones say that if gold recovers, this could be a great way to play the rebound.>

Having previously lauded CSI and compared its riches to the one and only Aurelian, his next post on CSI is of Anderson joining the board and all CSI posts thereafter become nasty:

So it seems all CSI flaws have been conveniently discovered by OTTO only post Anderson and one can only read OTTO within the context of his personal biases, rather than as some well entrenched South American specialist with an insight unavailable to we isolated gringos.
