Microsoft is afraid of losing its monopoly!

sfgate.com

But what it really comes down to is this: Microsoft is afraid that software developers around the world might start writing programs for Netscape Navigator or the Java player, bypassing their dependence on Windows.

And that would be the end of Microsoft's Windows monopoly.

>>> Harvey, I don't know the RCA story. Still, let me just be blunt and say that I think making comparisons between RCA and MSFT (or any two unrelated companies from unrelated times) is stupid.<<<

Sal, did you know that the inability to form and understand analogies will make you flunk your GRE?

It's not Harvey who's playing at being (deliberately) stupid.

But then, the young, who have so little data on which to form conclusions, are thus unimpeded by mere experience when making judgements. It lends a stunning clarity to ones views, as I (vaguely) recall.

Seriously, are the Microsoft fans going to start name-calling again? Is that really your only way out at present?
