Microsoft is afraid of losing its monopoly! sfgate.com But what it really comes down to is this: Microsoft is afraid that software developers around the world might start writing programs for Netscape Navigator or the Java player, bypassing their dependence on Windows. And that would be the end of Microsoft's Windows monopoly. God forbid!;)
