Hoffman acted like a Republican. When he was misinformed that he had a huge deficit to overcome with his best county mostly miscounted he conceded.

Seating him while seeming wrong apparently conforms to the rules. It would not be a surprise if Pelosi had violated rules though.

If he had not conceded Pelosi would have had to strong arm another yellow dog "moderate" democrat.

While it was legal to swear Owens in he has NOT be certified by NYS election officials.

A recount has narrowed the winning margin to about ~2500. They have yet to count 10,000 absentee ballots.
