Also casinos. One of the local casinos advertised the fact that they have given over $800,000,000 (!!!!!) in returns in the year they've been in business. Just think of the tax money that would generate.... If a tribe is making that kind of money, then we shouldn't be giving them government handouts if they aren't paying State and Federal taxes on that money. The tribes are one of the largest contributors to the Democrat party, from the sounds of things.

The white store owner might get is some relocation money. Anything that strikes at our Indian based system would be attacked by the Indians. I used to buy gas, groceries and smokes via an employee treaty number until they tightened up their system. Our casinos were set up with the hope they would be the economic salvation of the Indian bands. Rolling those dice failed because Indians love to gamble and drink as much as anybody. Canadian Indios are a pretty racist bunch. en.wikipedia.org
