Al, even Obama only projects to "cut" the deficit down to $500 billion a year in 2018.

It's clear to me that every increase in spending is permanent.

The only Congress to come close to balancing the budget was a Republican Congress. It was done while different parties controlled Congress and the Whitehouse.
