Not really. They both misinterpreted and misapplied the teachings of their religions. It's exactly the same, and it's the PEOPLE at fault, not the religions. It's EASY for you to see this with Jim Jones and Koresh - why isn't it just as easy to see it with the jihaddis? Prejudice? Bigotry? With me, you've got an agnostic that believes ALL religions are primitive superstitions and potential problems. Christianity had a period of hundreds of years, the Dark Ages and the Inquisition, when millions of people were tortured and/or put to death in the name of Jesus. Islam has a similar problem today, among a small minority of it's practitioners.
