*I'm* not saying that the annual supply of gold is totally irrelevant -- just that it's marginal compared to the total available supply. However I think that Steve Saville *is* saying that. And mostly I agree with him.

The annual supply of gold is minor compared to the total available "above ground stocks" -- which is not the case for *any* commodity. It is the case for most currencies. Gold is a currency and IMHO should be treated as such if we want to understand its market action. In fact, I still think that this "relic" will be recognised as such again by the world's central banks (as a currency -- maybe even *the* reserve currency) within the next decade.

Meanwhile, I'll just play the PM stocks while the world's central bankers try to sort this stuff out!
