I know this will get some of you howling but IMO the potential worst stock ever is Apple Computer. What a dog. I loved it when everyone ran it up to $29 this summer when MSFT threw a few bucks at it to buy an anti-Reno policy. That was a prime time to short it. I'm so short AAPL that I'm underground! Cover target: 50 cents.

For this year's Smith Technology, check out Zitel (ZITL). It has gone from $72 to $14 so far this year, and looks like it's heading in a straight trajectory to 0. ZITL is a failing computer storage company that bought a small stake in a year-2000 firm that never panned out.
