Neal, after a very brief look at MSGI, I would be very cautious other than a short term type play. Their debt and losses are huge, and they only have 3 FT ees. The Current Technology report of $5 million in 2009 revs has turned into nothing, and the Geico agreement doesn't appear to be doing much either. Other past investments either didn't pan out or are now in litigation. I expect the same on NASA related parnerships. Over $280 MILLION of accumulated deficits.

If they really are an emerging technology incubator, they have failed so far in a big way. The NASA involvement is the current excitement, but the technology is in already-glutted fields (diabetes and chemical sensors) and not so clear they are anywhere close to going commercial. It's also not clear how hard it is to put together a partnership with them if you have some legal expertise, as (NASA has a program at their site, with steps to becoming a partner).

In short, these guys seem very iffy given their track record. I like homeruns, but not sure I'm seeing any strong signs of a pathway to profitability for them. Sorry to be so negative. Just pretty skeptical about them based on their track record. Now, watch it skyrocket! :)

If I'm wrong, and this IS only based on 40 minutes of review, please let me know what I'm missing out on. I much prefer our little VSYS to something like this. I must be getting old..

LLLI looks better, but as you said it doesn't qualify here. It's not reporting. However, the last financials (a year or so back) don't look too bad, and the market cap would be about $2.4 million. I can't get to the website right now to see if they have followed through on prior PRs or not. One thing I didn't like was the PR on the director of Sales & Mktg because it didn't mention two of the companies he came from.

The recent order for $470K is big and the PR references another one too, which would be really good growth. So, if they are credible they are an interesting play..just wish we had some financials...

Feel free to add more info. Thanks for mentioning them..I may have to nibble at this price--they are at least being added to my pink sheet homerun list.
