That seems incomplete and simplistic to me...it would only benefit people who have a job and there would be no way to determine or incent that additional money to be spent.

Good point.

Can't have a stimulus bill that provides an incentive to work.

In any case, what are we talking about? $780B..

Like most Americans, you apparently do not have any concept of what a billion is, let alone 780 of them.

There was a time when we would have believed a $780 Billion deficit, for example, was outrageous. Not after January 21, 2009. No big deal.

The best solution would have been to temporarily suspend payroll taxes (FICA).

That seems incomplete and simplistic to me...it would only benefit people who have a job and there would be no way to determine or incent that additional money to be spent. I am not buying.

Jobs and increased income from jobs is simplistic?

I rest my case. No wonder you guys own a 10.2% unemployment. There must be other, much deeper things Obama's stimulus is achieving....

We have not seen a crisis like this since the depression.

In less than 3 decades I have lived in this country, we have gone through about 6 "worst crisis since depression"...

How? I really would like to hear the answer to this one.

All you need to do is look at Medicare and Medicaid spending, as percentage of GDP. It put the country on a crash course.

So take this element that is already unsustainable and multiply severalfold. That will be the effect of Obama health care "reform".

Oh, yes, and of course service that will give a new meaning to the word patient.
