As an engineer who's practiced in Austin as well as Silicon Valley, I can tell you that even Austin isn't in the same league. The only people who think that have never been to SV. There is no other place in the world with such a large concentration of tech industry as SV. I have heard that before.........going to Austin after SV is like being sent to Siberia....well not quite that bad......but you know what I mean.
