To all:

IMO, this news was priced today. In fact, as soon as I saw this, I thought the price would shoot up; it didn't and began falling a little. Money managers seem to receive such news earlier than others. They bid up the price much earlier than others noticed. There was another useful piece of information priced: China removed/cut tariffs on all products.

Lotus is just one among many many many software vendors who will be introducing a set of applications and software tools based on Sun's Java. This will be increasing as we go forward and is part of the new thin client/server centric computing model campaign. Look for Oracle, Sybase, Informix, HP, and a vast number of startup and small companies to introduce real life software tools and applications based on Sun's Java starting next month and going forward. This is a repeat of history (in a different manner of course) and similar to when Microsoft Windows was first introduced and everyone started introducing Windows based applications and tools and moving away from character cell/Mainframe model. Glorious days are ahead of us SUNW share holders that I feel even for us hard core SUNW believers it will be surprising as how rapidly this company will grow next year!

Gottfried...re IBM...I think IBM may become an even bigger threat to Sun than Microsoft if it isn't one already.
