Huckabee is a decent man, I don't know how smart he is, but that does not matter given Newt's heft. Huckabee's role is to get the evangelicals in place because they will cringe at the skeletons in Newt's closet. I think we need Newt or someone like him. Someone to make a radical departure from the politics of the past 20 years. He would not be a cat's paw for Wall St. I liked Romney because I had contact with his extended family eons ago as a kid in Mexico, and the family is extremely impressive. But Newt I think is miles ahead of him.
