Speaking of screen space.......

In general, I am curious how many members use the various functions and buttons at the top of the page. I use peoplemarks and subjectmarks and that's it.

That's an awful lot of space up there for not much utility, in my case.

Hey, the browser functions themselves are bad enough, what with title bars, address bars, menu bars, tab bars, ad infinitum. And I don't even have a toolbar. To that is added SI's search and quote lines, and two lines of hyperlinks.

In the end, with the size i keep my browser window, about 50% of the browser space is left for message content.

Check it out now. I don't want to impose the overhead or do the programming to do the on/off toggling based on date and time, but I think this should be a more than satisfactory compromise. Your thoughts?
