did they say they had any platinum? You know back in 1990 when CDN diamond explo was becoming successful (I had worked for Selco, panning for diamonds in BC near where Fipke was starting out in 1983.) I tried on the bulletin boards..this was before the internet was popular and you had all these sites that you had to LD to. Anyway I would tell them about diamonds in Ontario and NWT and how we were going to become a world diamond power and would they like to get in on the ground floor and stake claims. Believe it or not I had an old book that described where the kimberlites where... If you knew the chemistry you could just read it out of the book, land on the lake and stake. They didn't call them kimberlites as they did not know what they were! Lake names, and I swear on my fathers grave were, Lac de Gras, Snap Lake, Lac Dubawnt etc.. every major find to be.. in a travelogue.. and the incredible thing was in order for these 20 some areas to be in the book the rocks had to come to surface! You did not even have to drill. I could not convince anyone to go. The only answers I got mocked me as a scam artist and a con man. I am still waiting for some of the areas to come open. Most VSE companies are run by car salesmen not miners. echarter@vianet.on.ca
