Get over it, Dave. The "War on Terror" is OVER, and so is the entire militarization of terrorism. The military has proven it ISN'T the answer, but actually only compounds the problem. It's like trying to sew with a hammer.

The military was designed for fighting conventional wars against other countries and insurgents, for taking and holding ground - not combating stateless terrorists that can plan and attack from ANY country on Earth - even OURS.

When this is considered, invading Iraq and even Afghanistan are both revealed for the ill considered, reactive lashing out that they were. Our leaders are supposed to think past these things, but W reacted just as we would have, and we LIKED it. Only a few of us even cared that he invaded a country that had nothing to do with 9/11.

Some components of the military may play a role, but that's all.
