I can't get to Netspeed's site now. I haven't seen any financial information on them, but I had a feeling they were short on cash...

.... Nortel/NetSpeed/Westell. This is not a major loss for Westell and but is a major win for NetSpeed because it gets the cash equity investment and is still free to sell into the market on its own, unlike the deal that Nortel did with Shiva. NetSpeed is going to be integrated first into the Access Node, and all the effort for the next year or so will be on that -- not on replacing Westell as the only DSLAM integrated with Service Controller.....

Mad: The more I think about it, I like Netspeed. Here are some notes from the ORCTF conference call....

...Would be interested if you hear anything on that 1 million line european tender for '98. In general, orctf's adsl competition was named as alcatel, ericson and westell... (for both international and n. american markets)
