When have we ever been the policeman of the world? when have we never done what 'we' didn't think was in our interest, or at least in the interest of the rich?

we don't police the world. we have at times tried to keep it in line to our liking.

If we wanted to police the world, we would do something about the Congo or the Gueine rapes. we don't.

we have always acted in our self-interest in terms of money and the goodies americans like and feel intitled to. oh, right... we 'like' Irani's, that's why we are against their govt. it has nothing to do with the fact they not let us have their oil no more? nah.

and in a global world, and if we are to deal with global warming, with the end of oil, with other such things... there is a connection between all. China won't 'police'. Russia is a tad brutal, like the far far far far far more people they killed in Afghanistan, including sticking babies on the end of bayonets. If someone has to do it... we might be the best bet??? just pondering.

If we hadn't wasted our money and troops on Iraq we wouldn't have to have this discussion now.

We could have done the job RIGHT in Afghanistan in the first place rather than just leaving it fester for 8 years.
