Does America have a defense oriented, national leader left? 50 US soldiers killed and wounded in Texas and the national response is to bring terrorist leaders to NYC to allow them an open forum??? An open forum that will endure for years. This foolish response looks more like a ploy to break the back of the CIA, than a well reasoned effort to defend America against all enemies foreign and domestic. Is this intended to become the entry point and justification for Obama's civilian national security force that he wants to be stronger than the US Armed Forces? I am concerned that terrorism based LIC (low intensity conflict) has arrived inside the USA, and as in Afghanistan our national level leaders have nary a clue how to proceed. Self-inflicted wounds are not a solution. They are part of the problem. Nor is doing nothing a solution. Yet we are getting plenty of that. In my mind Ft Hood will eventually be viewed as a major beginning, and moving terrorist POWs from GITMO to NYC will be seen as the catalyst for an increase in terrorist actions here at home. Our 20 million illegal aliens, each with a lot to lose, and our violent prison population can provide a cesspool of willing recruits waiting to be indoctrinated, trained and armed. The funding of this LIC will be provided unwittingly by Americans who spend billions daily on foreign oil and other goods. uw
