I have heard that the third day of the new quarter generally has a positive bias. Some guess it is the MFs getting in gear again.

Yeah, I posted that it was mutual fund selling, but its depressing anyway. Especially when it was so recently at 18. Unbelievable that 1 trade of 50K could drop the price a whole point.

Believe me, I will be looking!! Hope for a close above 16. Otherwise, its margin call time.

Henry::That's a reasonable explanation, though the large seller did one lousy job of trading today! The warrant spread is very narrow. There was no chance for anyone to react to the LGND sale. If the mkt had stayed open for 10 more minutes there would have been a lot of buyers jumping at a below 15 price. We'll definitely see them at the opening bell Monday. If the articles you mention are in pubs like IBD, the buyers will bring their friends.

I'll be looking. IMO, it will depend on the overall market. And that will probably be related to the Asian markets' performances this p.m.

Let's hope the American markets start off the week on a positive note. There is a lot of nervousness. We could see another global round of panic selling or panic buying. Let's hope we see stabilization, with an upward bias, of course. And some mutual fund buying of LGND!

Henry:: Wasn't there some Ligand news that was supposed to pop up this weekend? Do you expect something pre-open Monday? TIA
