The problem is that we have Dodd and Frank, two of the biggest beneficiaries of the loan bubble, proposing solutions that don't harm those who 'bribed' them.

IMHO I thought barring investment banking and retail banking from being in the same firm was a good thing. I was against it even while many people I often agree with thought it was good to remove Glass Steagel.

We now need a non political solution. A bipartisan bill would be more likely to have acceptable regulations. The trouble is that in the Pelosi / Obama Administration bipartisan means republicans do what they tell them to do.
