Yes, that's true. Methane is particularly bad, which is part of the reason why I don't think natural gas is the end solution. But even Pickens talked about natural gas as a bridging technology. He was right. It's a darn good thing we can do right now.

But we have to figure out what our goals are. Is it to fight global warming or is it to improve our economy? My number one goal is to improve our economy. I believe that by investing heavily in renewable energy and the electrification of transportation, we can build a massive new growth industry that will even eclipse the internet in terms of the wealth it will bring this country. Along the way, one of the side benefits is that it will transition us away from energy sources and uses that create pollution and GHGs that cause global warming. And yes, like most scientists, I believe that global warming is happening and that man is the prime cause.
