To the thread: there's a big story in today's NY Times Business Day section dealing with the oil drillers. The focus is on Rowan, but there is a lot of general information about the industry. The tone is very bullish. I suggest all of you read it. Sorry, I don't have a link.

Regards,

Paul

Don't tell me that nobody here follows VRC. Varco is a company that manufactures tools and equipment used in the oil drilling industry worldwide. Recently reported record sales and income. Price has tripled in a year. Expect further upside with accelerating sales and income. Leaders may have another year, 18 months, of growth in stock prices. If everyone thinks, knows, that there is a tight market for oil services through year 2000 or so, won't sector growth turn elsewhere somewhat before that? Look at telecom market. Hot for two to three years. Now what? Its oil. A year from now, let's look elsewhere. I'll remind everyone. No more off topic posts or portions of posts.

BTW, this seems like a great thread.
