Big pharma has their artificially high prices in the US - and artificially low prices outside the US - protected by law, eliminating free market price equilibrium.

Have to disagree. Big Pharma is setting prices inside and outside just as they should -- letting market forces determine pricing.

If drug companies can't compete in a reasonably "normal" environment, innovation will be affected and it is likely to take a direction we don't want it to take.
