Then the outcome will be decided locally by middle class Americans who don't intend to surrender

I have seen it suggested that suggested that moving the KSM/gitmo trials to civilian court is a way to put evidence out there that can be used against Bush and his Administration in world courts.

I would think that the idea of handing over one of our presidents to a world court would be the tipping point that would turn this "bloodless" coup into a more internally confrontational event.

At some point the americans who just want to make a living, put their kids through school and have some peace in life are going to say "whoa! I know we aren't perfect, but this is enough! this is where this bullshit stops!"

I think the backlash against Obama is going to be extreme.

I think the same way, except I don't see anyone on the horizon. Perhaps we conservatives need to get behind human cloning and clone Reagan. Then, we'd only have to wait about 50 more years. :^))

The storm is coming. I am beginning to believe that it will hit once the current generation of young folks look at the entitlement generation their parents have become and say "screw this, I'm not paying for this shit. Go back to work you old ..."

That is a frightening thought, but certainly plausible. If the courts allow these so called torture pictures be released, I can't imagine what that will do to the moral of our military. Then there is the fact that millions of people will be/are without the means to support themselves and their families, and I can see all hell breaking loose.

Then the outcome will be decided locally by middle class Americans who don't intend to surrender.
