I just read (not posted) a thingie that said US Carry Trade
will be - is - bigger than Japan carry trade and could
go on longer


offload the losses on the tax payer if they lose

I imagine each and every bank already has a department
for this

Do you speak of the event in 1998 or 2008? Despite the massive carry trades at work there, it doesn't appear that either event produced the kind of significant economic turmoil that I would have expected.
