Disclaimer: The following contains backward looking statements which may or may not be true depending on what was heard or mere juxtaposed auditory hallucination. Here are some disconnected ramblings that you requested: I don't recall saying I was at the shareholder's meeting. You must be psychic Buck. I didn't stay the whole time though. The chairs were uncomfortable. Fair amount of suits and ties. Some older folk and one long hair(me). Don't recall him introducing BAT people. Gray cubicles, blue carpet. Randy Fowler did not introduce himself nor was he introduced. I liked him though. He has a sense of humor that I like. I didn't take notes. They served Pepsi no Coke though, grape juice, coffee, tea, crackers, cheese, celery, carrots etc. The receptionist was friendly. The sign for the company is subtle, I only noticed it on the glass front door. The Sylvan rollout will probably start in Illinois and gradually spread from there. The reason Mastercard hasn't tried any kind of fingerscan yet even though some of their ads show it is because they have to figure all the angles and implications and possibilities of such a move. Customers don't press for it much because they are usually only liable for $50 if reporting a stolen card. It's a matter time before it begins to appear (my thought). They get approx. $17 for doing a set of "prints" I believe it was in Illinois and do 100-140K prints/year. I would like to multiply that by 50 states. Sometimes they get more $$ especially if they're doing prints on stock brokers. He said the car companies are looking at it but are slow to adopt. Home and business access market is highly fragmented with too many vendors. I guess in many cases they are waiting for people to come to them. In time/attendance market they are working with several oems. As far as Oracle they will be at their future shows and will be educating sales force and meeting customers needs. Alot of what was said was on the conference call and has been reported here by the identix faithful. He said he was comfortable with meeting analysts future projections for the company. I can only see their market share expanding from here. It may not all happen as fast as we all would like, but I feel patience will be rewarded. By the way Baruch is sometimes my wife. She tends to be more news and fact oriented in her posts. You can blame this one on Buck. :-)
