I almost mentioned Laffer, but didn't know whether you would understand the reference.

ROTFLMAO.

Then you do understand that tax revenues can be maximized by getting the tax structure and level just right. The bottom line is that "any tax cut is a good tax cut" is not a smart statement, if you believe that Laffer was on to something.

At these levels and in this economy, any tax cut is good. Some better than others, but any tax cut is better than not cutting.

Laffer will agree with me on this.

As to Obama competence to make war decision, he has already far outwitted Bush. Bush was clueless. His execution was awful. Obama is a smart man who asks the right questions.

I can point to 15 year old kids who are "smarter" than Obama. The question is how knowledgeable he is. And his knowledge, when compared with Bush, is WEAK.

Bush was an absolute master negotiator, until he became a lame duck. Tough. Hardball. One need only look at Bush's actions in the UN prior to 06 to see what I'm talking about. He did weaken at the end, but that was because he was in a very weak position.

Obama is weak. Exceptionally weak. I'm not saying he can't or won't improve over time, but Sarah Palin would have run circles around him during her first 10 months. No shit. I've never seen a less competent individual in any position of importance.

My local city councilman is more competent to run the federal government than Barack Obama is.
