I think the answers to many questions are obvious. For example, beginning about 30 years ago, despite a high level of national education, we elected a series of Presidents that have, with the consent and assistance of Congress and an army of lobbyists, managed to loot not only the United States but a good portion of the world all the while disguising their actions by distracting the 'people' to concentrate on various contrived 'enemies' around the world. The result has been a spectacular destruction of the American middle class and major steps forward in the world wide elimination of individual freedoms. But probably all just an accident or coincidence.
