Not intrepid. Just love what's there to have. I used to marvel at how you got impacted with all the senses all at once - salt smell and taste, blistering salt in your eyes that made you squint, but such a beautiful sight as far as you could see, smells you can't describe but they're raw, can't be found anywhere else, blasting silence of wind, and the touch of nothing.

In SF I used to go to Ocean Beach a lot. there was a lighthouse out there. I dreamed of it. for some reason people thought I was born to live in a lighthouse. what's with that??? :) and the fog horns. oh..... when the air was so thick and it was wet on your skin, and that horn would blow, low and slow through the night.

I used to go to Ocean Beach when I lived in SF. Took the dog there to run. Some days, the fog would be so thick. She'd run off along the beach away from me. Five minutes later, I'd encounter her, coming back the other way, chasing gulls or just running. She loved that beach.

As for lighthouses, have you seen my pics of the Cape Blanco lighthouse?
