Nobody is trying to steer the wheel towards any opening. We're better off hitting the wall than going off the cliff.

Why, when you have a choice of steering clear would you opt for the wall? That's my question. Because it's better than the cliff? Well, that's some comfort. Sure, you're right that no one is steering for the opening. The powers that be are running us headlong into disaster. Whether you want to label it a wall or a cliff doesn't matter. And the opposition is intent on slamming on the brakes knowing full well that the brakes won't do the job.

The opposition has even less power to head for the opening than it has to put on the brakes. So the fault lies with those who are determined to head for what they think is the lesser of two disasters rather than get their heads screwed on straight and find the opening. Pardon me if I don't cheer that. Or you for supporting such a mindless choice.

Exactly, which is why Obama/Pelosi Care is the worst possible thing to do right now. We are better off with the problems we know than putting government's inefficient systems in control over our lives.
