If you follow the links at that site, you'll read a lot about how the science developed over time. It's not simple, but it's understandable and quite a story. Of course, it's all easily refutable by a couple lines of arithmetic, if you go by some alternative universe definition of science anyway. You do realize that that very passage was later debunked as being inaccurate in the same document. There is not one calulation in that piece. I am curious why I can never seem to find the calculations that are used to make these claims.
