Well Halloween is over and its time for everyone to take their masks and disquises off and to put them back into the bedroom closet where they belong. I have a confession to make I am really Doctor Dumbfounder Auriferous from the planet Nowhere where diamonds,gold and platinum are so common we sell them by the ton for land fill. It wasnt always thus it happened this way. On our planet in the year 8735975D someone invented the ultimate duplicating machine. Take whatever raw material you want and fill up the hopper. Put whatever you want to duplicate into the oven, set the number of duplicates you want and push the magic button and out pops all the identical duplicates you could possibly want. Sounds like a great invention doesnt it. Put in one beer, out pops a case. Put in a turkey dinner and out pops a thousand. Now if there was only one such machine on the planet its owner would be richer then a million Bill Gates. Put in a one hundred thousand dollar diamond and out would pop a hundred thousand duplicates. Put in one gold flack and out would pop tons. You may see the problem. One machine is priceless but once everyone has a machine commodities become worthless. Overnight our entire planets economy became obsolete because anything of value got duplicated so much it became worthless. A new economy arose. If everyone has a duplicating machine, try to quess what becomes valueable. Two things. The person who can create the original and entertainment. That is how I have been making a killing selling the posts from SI to the population on Nowhere. I mean the posts are entertaining in their own right but imagine what a hoot all the stock market stuff is to a planet where everyone owns a duplicating machine. Also the idea that people would search for rocks where you have to process tons to get a few ounces or carots is so alien to us it seems like a farce. SO EVERYONE keep up all the great posts. PS Ive made so much from this enterprize Im thinking of importing a duplicating machine from Nowhere and setting up a little VSE company. If you want to get in on the ground floor of this one, send cash gold diamonds platinum or old scifi novels, whatever you have of value (before they become worthless) and Ill issue you some shares.
